Pas de Deux for Joint Concerts

Joost Smeets, conductor and tuba player, has set up a great project with the Orkest van het Oosten and multiple Concert Bands and Fanfares.

The goal is to connect amateurs and professionals through music. Especially for this project, Wittrock composed Pas de Deux, a composition for Concert Band, Fanfare and Symphony Orchestra.

The two orchestral forms play together, but also retain their own identity. Pas de Deux is an ideal ending for a joint concert.

The premiere took place on 23, 24 and 25 November 2018 with the Orkest van het Oosten, Semper Crescendo Diepenveen, Stedelijk Orkest Lebuïnus Deventer, Eendracht Colmschate, Muziekvereniging Concordia Hengelo, Harmonie Orkest Twente from Enschede, Orpheus Bathmen, Holtense Muziekvereniging and Ons Genoegen Heino.
