San José Premiers in Chicago

San José premiered at April 1st, 2018 in Chicago. The Harker School Orchestra earned a Golden Medal for their performance of San José.

The Harker School Orchestra performed San José in Chicago during the International Music Festival. They earned a Golden Medal with the performance of this new composition.

San José is a colorful composition with Spanish influences composed for Symphony Orchestra. All instruments are able to show themselves in the vivid first part of the composition. The middle part starts with a cadence in the violins which flows into a romantic melody. The slow part ends with a dialog between cello and clarinet. San José concludes with an energetic coda.
